The Saltire Scholar Programme offers summer internships around the world to students in their penultimate year at Scottish universities.

Student-led, Individually-Created Courses

Student-Led, Individually-Created Courses (SLICCs) offer first and second-year undergraduate students the opportunity to earn 20 academic credits for involvement in a professional development, internship, work experience or research project experience of their choosing during their summer vacation.

Universitas 21 is an international network of 25 research-intensive universities, including the University of Edinburgh, located throughout the world - this network offers a wide range of opportunities for students at member universities to experience education abroad. 

Fulbright Awards Programme 

Fulbright US Summer Institutes give British students with little foreign travel experience the opportunity to live and study (for up to five weeks) at a top US higher education institution.
