The Go Abroad Fund provides financial support for students to undertake a short-term international experience during the summer of 2024.

Applications are now closed.

Applications for the Go Abroad Fund  will open on  Monday 22 January 2024 (12pm GMT) and will close on Friday 8 March 2024 (12pm GMT). 

What can I use the Go Abroad Fund for?

Your trip must be educational in some way and should fall into one of the following broad categories. Beyond that, we're open to ideas - let us know what you'd like to use the funds for!

  • Volunteering
  • Internships or traineeships
  • Conferences
  • Cultural activities
  • Research

I had an extraordinary experience completing this once in a lifetime opportunity, a 7-day hiking expedition. Even with its ups and downs, changing of plans, and unexpected weather, I wouldn’t change anything. Of course, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the help I received from the University when it came to funding the excursion and would like to thank them for that. I would recommend applying for the Go Abroad Fund to all.
