Universitat Pompeu Fabra

Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) was founded by the Catalan government with the aim of aiding the region's development and offering high quality education. As a small University, it has kept its focus on a small number of disciplines, but this has also supported the creation of a tight-knit community between staff and students.

  • Politics
  • Spanish * 

* This partner is open to all LLC students studying Spanish; however, places will be prioritised for Spanish and Politics students, and preference will be given to those with knowledge of Catalan. 


  • For students of Economics: Teaching is available in English. Students should be able to take a full course load in English at this institution.
  • For students of Business and Politics & International Relations: Teaching is available in both English and Spanish.  However, students may not be able to take a full course load in English at this institution so must meet minimum language requirements.
  • For students of Spanish: The teaching language is Spanish. Students will be expected undertake teaching entirely in Spanish at this institution so must meet minimum language requirements. 

All students are encouraged to take Catalan language and culture courses.
