Université de la Rochelle

The University of La Rochelle, founded in 1993, is a young and dynamic university. Enjoying a lovely maritime location between the harbour and the city of La Rochelle on the Atlantic coast, the university enrolls around 8500 students, with 12% international students. The percentage of international students and researchers continues to grow, evidence of the university's policy of openness.

With an entrepreneurial and innovative approach, the university offers more than 80 different degrees approved by our national Government (diplômes d'état) in study fields which focus on axes such as: coastal environments, Asian languages, and sustainable development. The University of La Rochelle embodies a new generation of universities dedicated to students’ achievement and characterised by excellence and a partnership-oriented approach in research.
