By partnering with Universities across Europe, we are able to work together, beyond our University community, to address tomorrow’s greatest challenges through innovative programme design, diverse learning opportunities for our students and increased collaborative research to amplify our impact. Image People As a member of Una Europa, the University of Edinburgh joins a vibrant European staff and student community. It aims to build relationships and create mutually beneficial, long-lasting, and constructive networks for our students, researchers, academics and alumni. Research Through mapping research strengths and infrastructures, Una Europa works with its partners to develop an interdisciplinary challenge-based research strategy. Executing a trusted atmosphere for research, with enthusiastic and willing collaborators, ensures that researchers can work together and respond quickly and effectively to relevant external funding calls. Teaching and learning The alliance improves student and staff experience by expanding the breadth and choice of interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, postgraduate, and digital education. Through challenge-based mobility initiatives, student networks, internships and mentoring positions, Una Europa seeks to support creating critically-minded and culturally sensitive students by providing accessible cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary learning opportunities that maximise their potential. The Una Europa Lifelong Learning Certificates, Micro-credentials, and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) provide a truly transnational learning culture for continuous education on societal challenges.
