Photography Competition winners announced!

The winners of the 2020 Photography Competition have now been selected.

The annual Edinburgh Global photography competition is for all current international students, and students who have had a ‘Go Abroad’ experience or Online Distance Learners outside the UK. The theme for this year's competition was Edinburgh in Mind.

With different restrictions worldwide, we acknowledged that not all students would be on campus this year; we hoped this theme would provide students a chance to share a photography which showed the different ways they carry thoughts or impressions of Edinburgh with them, wherever they are in the world.

There will be a physical exhibition in Old College Quad in spring 2021 (if public health restrictions allow), showcasing competition entries.

\"The image has 3 qualities that I associate with Edinburgh. It has beauty serenity and power. I was anxious when I had landed in Edinburgh. But after 3 months of living here by myself I feel at peace and empowered; with Edinburgh engulfing me in its warm embrace whenever I look out of my window.\"
