Tomas Sarmiento - People's Choice

"After walking for a while in Princes Street Gardens I found this beautiful view of Edinburgh Castle. In my country there is only one royal castle without too much history. This castle leads me to imagine living an era of great stories and historical events."

Eleni Zarkada - Principal's Choice

"Bubbles outside the National Gallery - an amazing surprise in my first week in Edinburgh! The person who created them was a worldwide traveller and his current stop was Edinburgh, the same as mine for my Master Degree."

Thomas Dalhuisen - Abroad category winner

"This picture was taken during a road trip through the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains. The open road, the mountains and the endless rows of pine trees symbolise the sensation of freedom and adventure I felt while exploring this remote corner of the world. The True North at its best."

Giada Barzaghi - City and Surroundings category winner

"Edinburgh the city of colours. When people think of Edinburgh, they often think about dark-stones buildings and grey weather. I don't think that's a truthful perspective. Edinburgh is filled with intense colours all year round, one of my favourite sceneries being the spring flower blossom."

"Snow in Edinburgh was a pleasant surprise in my second year. With the University closed I went to Holyrood Park with my friend for some snowboarding. We rarely see Edinburgh in snow. Snow-covered Edinburgh is just so magical and beautiful that I want to share this experience with everyone."
