About the display From Sanctuary to Community is a display exploring the experiences of refugees and displaced people within our University community - past, present and future.It honours the journeys of students and staff who have come to the University of Edinburgh after being forcibly displaced by conflict, war, violence, or persecution. Their personal reflections and lived experiences are shared alongside examples of University initiatives and community support, which contribute to a culture of welcome, support, and solidarity. The display also includes some examples of sanctuary offered in the past from the University's archives.This display is a collaborative project between the Edinburgh Global Communications Team, Education Beyond Borders and Library and University Collections.
