Una Europa for students

Start your journey to becoming a changemaker with this intercultural, virtual programme. Along with student peers from other universities across Europe, you’ll devise a localised solution to a global challenge over the course of eight weeks.

Within the incubator, you'll take part in a range of workshops, challenges and other teamwork activities focused on the connection between universities and local communities.

This enthusiastic group of visionaries shape the role that the University of Edinburgh’s student body can play as half a million students come together to build a University of the Future. With the support of the University and the Brussels-based Una Europa team, responsibilities will include developing student-led events and workshops as well as shaping the broader work of the Alliance.​​​

Una Europa Student Congress is your opportunity to explore the impact that student engagement has on our community and society. Hosted by Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, participants will:

• explore the theme from multiple perspectives
• engage in discussions that examine the meaning of student engagement
• identify key skills for effective student engagement

The interactive programme includes small group workshops, roundtables and plenary sessions across the course of four days.

This European Day of Languages, take 45-minutes out of your day to join us to celebrate the diversity of languages in the Una Europa alliance. Una Europa is offering free introductory online sessions in a wide range of languages, including French, Polish, Ukrainian, German, Modern Greek, and many more!  

Come and discover the basics of a new language in small, relaxed groups of fellow staff and students from across all corners of Europe.

This six-month paid internship offers a unique opportunity for a PhD/doctoral student to develop expertise in European higher education research and innovation policies and funding in the heart of Brussels at the Una Europa Headquarters.

If you’re interested in sustainability and the future of our shared planet, the UnaVEx virtual exchange is the perfect opportunity to pursue your passions!

Consisting of five online sessions across five weeks, this project gives you the opportunity to attend inspiring talks from sustainability experts and work on collaborative solutions with a team of students across Africa and Europe.

Are you learning a language and wanting to boost your conversation skills and vocabulary? Find your language partner with the Una Europa Language Tandem Tool and start practising today.

This free tool is offered exclusively to students at the University of Edinburgh and other Una Europa universities, and allows you to find a partner based on language goals, proficiency level and interests.

Consisting of five MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) which, once completed, award the learner with 10ECTS. After studying the introductory course, there are four additional courses covering the environmental, economic, and social aspects of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Every year, Una Europa organises a series of multidisciplinary Summer Schools, jointly developed and delivered by researchers and academics from across all 11 partner universities of the alliance. 

Typically, Summer Schools are focused on one or several of Una Europa’s Focus Areas and allow participants to:

• develop their research skills
• broaden their academic expertise and network
• engage in cultural activities with students peers from all corners of Europe.
