Each Una Europa university organises its own student network to facilitate and promote student engagement with Una Europa initiatives at local level. This network is your opportunity to gain professional and leadership skills, and take an active part in shaping what Una Europa can deliver for the student community in Edinburgh. Altogether, the 11 Una Europa partner universities educate over 500,000 students across Europe! By being a part of the Una Europa Student Network, you'll:gain valuable skills and professional experience, working alongside staff in Edinburgh and with students across the alliance be part of a thinktank for European Higher Education and represent the Edinburgh student community in the alliancedevelop student-led events and cross-cultural initiatives with peers from across Edinburgh and from other Una Europa member universities. Learn more about Una Europa Open rolesApplications for volunteer roles in the Una Europa Student Network close on 15 February 2026.Co-President (one post) – Support the Student Network President in organising and chairing bi-monthly meetings of the Student Network, oversee planning of activities and co-manage projects.Secretary (two posts) – Support the organisation and smooth running of Student Network meetings and activities by compiling and sharing meeting minutes and actions, and keeping track of calendar of activities.Undergraduate Student Representative (three posts; one per College) – Represent the interests of Undergraduate Students in your College, and act as liaison between the Una Europa Student Network and your School/College to engage students into activities and raise awareness of the Una Europa alliance.Postgraduate Student Representative (three posts; one per College) – Represent the interests of Postgraduate Students and act as liaison between the Una Europa Student Network and your School/College to engage students into activities and raise awareness of the Una Europa alliance. Event Coordinator (two posts) – Coordinate and organise community events and student activities to engage the wider student community in Edinburgh.Communications and Marketing Officer (two posts) – Promote the events and activities of the Student Network and raise the profile of Una Europa through student channels, on-campus communications and social media.Student Representative (unlimited) – Collaborate with Student Network members on projects, and contribute to representing the student community in Edinburgh by giving feedback and participating in discussions on Una Europa activities for students. Time commitmentThe Edinburgh Una Europa Student Network meets every other Thursday from 4pm to 5pm, in the office of Edinburgh Global at 34, Buccleuch Place. To apply for a role in the Student Network, you should be able to commit to:attending a minimum of one meeting every month being available to take up your role across Semester 2 in 2025/26, and during the 2026/27 academic year.Occasionally, we might also ask Student Network members to represent Una Europa at University events on campus, such as the Student Fair, on a volunteer basis. We appreciate that during busy periods such as exams, your availability might change. Don’t worry! We are looking for students who are enthusiastic about shaping what Una Europa can deliver for students at Edinburgh, and we will work flexibility to ensure you can deliver your role in the Student Network while pursuing your studies.
