Here are reflections from staff who engaged with Una, providing a snapshot of the activity and its benefits

Alessandro Seguino, Senior Lecturer, Vet Medicine

Seed funded project lead

“Una Europa was the key catalyst for our project, and its development because having that trusted platform and point of reference sped up the process, gave us an industry structure and provided financial support. With our ongoing relationship in partner universities, we hosted workshops and offered additional funding”

Professor Lisa Boden

Chair of Population Medicine and Veterinary Public Health Policy

“Focusing on the future of One Health via an alliance like Una Europa has been a priority. It is tremendously important and relevant for students and for staff especially given the current geopolitical situation and these quite fragile times for global public health. Creating the One Health Summer School, which will be hosted in Edinburgh this year, has been a positive experience, the concept was warmly embraced by the partners, and we have received a high number of applications from students.”

Michelle Terrell

Student Recruitment Officer, SPS and Live My Life participant

“The programme matched me and my partner at Leuven so perfectly well, we knew within the first 10 minutes of meeting we would have lots to discuss, and I honestly felt as though I was part of the team over there. The amount of knowledge and insight sharing that took place was much greater than I could ever have imagined.”
