Our innovative student mobility and internship programme with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore enables Edinburgh students to undertake internships with Syngenta in India, Glaxo-Smith-Kline and the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences in Singapore.

In Japan, the University collaborates with Tsukuba University and Waseda University, and our School of Biological Sciences has a link withRIKEN and the Systems Biology Institute, Tokyo.

Collaborations with Asian partners

The Confucius Institute for Scotland

This national centre is based in the University of Edinburgh with a remit to promote educational, economic, and cultural ties between Scotland and China.

Hong Kong

University of Hong Kong

The first students from Hong Kong came to study Medicine at the University over 70 years ago. Through Universitas 21 partner University of Hong Kong, with whom we operate a popular reciprocal student exchange and a number of collaborative research projects.
