What is UnaVEx?

UnaVEx (Una Europa Virtual Exchanges for Sustainability) is a unique 5-week online programme offering students the chance to engage in global sustainability discussions and create solutions to urgent environmental issues. This virtual exchange brings together university students from both Europe and Africa to explore the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate change, biodiversity, and more.

You’ll gain a deeper understanding of sustainability while working with an international team to tackle a collaborative project.

How does it work?

  • Plenary talks: Attend inspiring talks led by experts in sustainability.
  • International group work: Work alongside an international team to create a sustainability-themed action plan, moderated by experienced facilitators.
  • No previous experience needed: Whether you have studied sustainability before or not, UnaVEx is open to students from all disciplines!

Who can apply?

This opportunity is available to BSc, MSc, PhD, and PostDoc students from the University of Edinburgh.
