I am responsible for services and initiatives within our Global Community remit – in particular, our Education Beyond Borders initiative and the Staff Immigration Service.
Education Beyond Borders consists of programmes and initiatives across the University to support students and academics from across the world who have been forcibly displaced due to conflict, violence or persecution, with key programmes including our displaced student scholarship programme and academic-at-risk programme. As part of this, I am the key University contact for our partnership activity in this area (e.g. Cara, UNHCR, CLCC, Scholars At Risk, Universities of Sanctuary, and other relevant internal/external partnerships). Our Staff Immigration Service provides free and impartial specialist advice on UK immigration matters for prospective and current staff, visitors and their accompanying dependants.
