2023 photography competition gallery

Students who went abroad in 2022/23 took part in this year's annual Edinburgh Global photo competition. Here are some of the amazing entries we received:

Angela Medic, School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences

Angela went on exchange to Amsterdam in 2022/23

Angela's photo caption - "Afsluitdijk, one of the longest dams in Europe at 32km in length. This dam was built for flood protection and land reclamation, now it is additionally used to provide clean energy and is a symbol of Dutch marine engineering."

Brandon Forsythe, School of Social and Political Science

Brandon went to the US in August 2023 with support from the Go Abroad Fund.

Jasmine spent a year on exchange at the University of California in 2022/23

Jasmine spent a month in New Zealand in July 2023 supported by the Go Abroad Fund.

Pinyo Getmanee, School of Chemistry

Pinyo is on exchange at the University of Sydney in 2023/24

Pinyo's photo caption - "The very first day in Sydney. Landed at the airport, went straight to the Opera House for the first time ever. Truly breathtaking. The most magical, wondrous, indescribable experience. "

Qiuye Zhang, School of Informatics

Qiuye is on exchange at Carnegie Mellon University in 2023/24.
